Emrock Corporation clears Rs 33-crore bio-CNG project

The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2027, subject to statutory approvals and timely execution of construction activities.

Ahmedabad-based infrastructure and construction company Emrock Corporation has said that its subsidiary, Emrock Energy Pvt Ltd, has approved a Bio-CNG project with an estimated investment of Rs 30–33 crore, marking the company’s entry into the renewable energy segment.

The decision was taken by the board of directors of Emrock Energy as part of a broader strategic expansion plan, the company said in a statement. Emrock Corporation holds a 50.49% stake in the subsidiary.

The proposed facility will have the capacity to produce 1,600 tonnes of Bio-CNG annually. In addition to clean fuel, the plant will generate 8,652.80 tonnes of fermented organic manure (FOM) and 14,732.80 tonnes of liquid fermented organic manure (LFOM) each year, contributing to both energy and agricultural value chains.

The Emrock bio-CNG project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2027, subject to statutory approvals and timely execution of construction activities.

The total project cost is estimated between Rs 30 crore and Rs 33 crore. Funding will be arranged through a combination of fresh capital infusion and financial assistance from banks or other financial institutions.

Emrock said the initiative aligns with its long-term strategy to diversify into sustainable energy and environmentally friendly solutions. Further updates will be disclosed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
