The SAMRIDHI concept is hosted by iHub AwaDH, a technology and innovation hub established under the NM-ICPS.
IIT Ropar has introduced “SAMRIDHI,” a startup accelerator program in deep technology, with a specific focus on revolutionary advancements in agriculture and water sectors. This initiative, known as a Holistic Initiative for ICPS Startups, was inaugurated by Banwarilal Purohit, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh.
The program, titled “Strategic Acceleration for Market, Research, Innovation & Development a Holistic Initiative for ICPS Startups,” underscores its commitment to fostering innovation in agriculture and water technology.
The innovative concept is hosted by iHub AwaDH, a technology and innovation hub established under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS). The SAMRIDHI conclave witnessed the formalization of five strategic collaborations and showcased five deep-tech innovations. Thirteen start-ups, selected through a rigorous evaluation process, presented their ideas, while an additional 25 start-ups displayed their solutions at the exhibition.
The event featured more than 30 experts who shared insights on strategic acceleration for market research, innovation, and development. A key highlight was the recognition of the Department of Science & Technology (DST) for its pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the region through NMICPS.
The mission has yielded impressive results, including the generation of 311 technologies, 549 technology products, the establishment of 1613 CPS research bases, and significant contributions to the skilling of more than 60,000 CPS professionals.
