Globe Toyota, a JCBL Group company and among North India’s largest Toyota dealership networks, has entered into a partnership with BioTradX, a digital marketplace for recyclable and recoverable materials, to advance responsible waste and resource management across its operations.
Globe Toyota will leverage BioTradX platform to efficiently manage and monetise used engine oil, recyclables and other recoverable resources generated across its dealership network. The initiative is designed to enhance traceability, ensure regulatory compliance and promote circular economy practices.
As part of the programme, nearly 30,000 litres of used engine oil is expected to be collected every month for environmentally sound processing and conversion into sustainable biofuel products. The scope of the partnership is also expected to expand gradually to cover additional categories of industrial waste.
Globe Toyota said that it has also implemented solar power systems across multiple dealerships, reducing carbon emissions by 2,58,286 kg—equivalent to planting 7,709 trees—while achieving a 40% reduction in energy costs. Additionally, water-efficient car wash systems have lowered annual water consumption by 36%, resulting in savings of around 1.34 crore litres per year.
Vivek Datta, MD and CEO of Globe Toyota, said, “Sustainability has shaped how we run our dealerships, from the energy we use to the water we recycle. Partnering with BioTradX lets us bring that same discipline to how we manage waste, particularly used engine oil and recyclable material from our service operations. It is a natural next step in a journey we have been on for years, and one that reflects the kind of dealership group we want to be.”
Shubham Bansal, Founder, BioTradX, apprised, “Globe Toyota’s commitment to integrating sustainability into its operations reflects the future of responsible industrial growth.” He also added, “This partnership demonstrates how digital infrastructure can help businesses strengthen circular supply chains while creating measurable environmental and operational value.”
These efforts are aligned with Globe Toyota’s broader sustainability roadmap, which targets a 50% reduction in carbon footprint by 2030. Notably, its Ludhiana dealership has also earned ESG certification.
