The state government of Uttar Pradesh has given fresh orders to L&T Construction for the development of a water supply scheme in the state. The water supply infrastructure scheme will benefit almost 51 lakh rural residents in Uttar Pradesh. The state wants to connect all of its rural households to drinking water taps by 2024 under Jal Jeevan Mission. L&T calls it as a large order that is in the range of Rs 2,500 cr to 5,000 cr.
