Vikram Solar Wins CII Award for Customer Obsession Again

Kolkata-based Vikram Solar has received the “CII Award for Customer Obsession-2018’ for active customer engagement in manufacturing sector among large business organizations.

It has been bestowed this award by CII for showcasing efficient, progressive, and adaptable strategic and operational qualities in offering services and customer engagement.

Commenting on the award win, Vikram Solar  BU Head- Solar Manufacturing and CTO, Ivan Saha said, “We are honoured and proud to have won this coveted award for the second time. It re-iterates our promise of best service and solution to our clients. We firmly believe in customer centricity in business, and this recognition by CII has inspired us to continue our journey forward. Customer focus has always been a priority for us and will always be in the future.”

The company claims that its products offer the highest standards of quality, reliability and performance; and the manufacturing facility has the finest machinery and equipment imported from leading global equipment manufacturers. Yesterday, it announced the commissioning of two 10 megawatt (MW) solar projects for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL).

The plant, located at Patni near Kharagpur, will deploy the company’s Eldora 4BB series 60 cell modules, while solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant at Lalgarh consists of Eldora 5BB series 60 cell modules, ranging from 265 Wp to 270 Wp. Both plants are expected to generate 1.55 million units per megawatt energy annually.

Prior to this, it has been conferred with multiple prestigious awards such as the ET Bengal Corporate Award, EPC World Award, National Excellence Award, REI Award to name a few. Currently, it has close to 1 GW of manufacturing capacity in India.
