Elan Energy secures PMC contract for GAIL CBG plant in Chhattisgarh

Gurugram headquartered Elan Greentech Energies Ltd has announced to have secured a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract from GAIL (India) Limited for the development of a 14-tonnes-per-day (TPD) Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh

As per the press statement, under the two-year engagement, Elan Energy will deliver comprehensive PMC services for the CBG project, overseeing planning, execution, coordination, and overall project management to ensure timely and efficient implementation of the 14 TPD facility.

The proposed CBG plant in Ambikapur is in line with the Government of India’s push to expand alternative fuel production and strengthen waste-to-energy infrastructure. The project also supports the objectives of the SATAT initiative (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation), which aims to promote compressed biogas as a clean and sustainable automotive fuel while generating additional income opportunities in rural areas.

Elan Energy stated that its appointment as PMC highlights the company’s expertise in executing complex renewable energy and CBG infrastructure projects for public sector undertakings. The contract from GAIL further enhances Elan Energy’s presence in the growing CBG segment and reaffirms its commitment to advancing India’s transition toward a low-carbon, gas-based economy.
