Indian automobile maker, Hero electric launched its newest Electric scooter called Dash. The news comes within a week of its launch of Electric Optima ER and Nyx ER. Hero Dash Electric like Optima and Nyx is priced below 70,000 and starts at Rs 62,000. Dash is powered by a 28Ah Lithium-ion battery and the company claims that it needs 4 hours to recharge completely.
Hero adds that at full capacity Dash will provide a range of just 60 km much lower than its previous unveils, to which Hero says that it is targeting the range for only commercial usage. Dash comes with standard features like LED DRLs and headlight, a digital instrument cluster, USB charging port, tubeless tires, and remote access to the boot (under the seat). The scooter has a ground clearance of 145mm and a top speed between 25 and 30 km/h.

As always, we will continue to bring in new and better products and are always listening to customer feedback.”
The new dash forms a part of its extended range (ER) variants which saw Optima and Nyx as well. Optima ER is priced at Rs 68,721 (ex-showroom, India), while Hero Nyx ER is available for Rs 69,754 (ex-showroom, India). Both are equipped with dual Li-Ion battery, with the former having a range of 110 km per charge and latter 100 km per charge.
Currently, Hero Electric has 615 touchpoints across the nation and intends to increase the number to 1,000 by the end of 2020. The company has revealed that they also have plans to ramp up production to 5 lakh units per annum in the next three years.
Following the GST rate cut, two-wheeler companies like Okinawa, Ampere and Ather have slashed rates while automakers like Tata and Mahindra too have followed suite while many others are lining up to launch new variants.
