WATCH OUT: India Bioenergy & Tech Expo 2026 by IFGE to begins in Greater Noida tomorrow

The 3rd India Bioenergy & Tech Expo 2026 (IBET Expo 2026), billed as India’s largest bioenergy conference and exhibition, is set to take place from August 11 to 13, 2026, at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The expo is being organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and M M Activ, with the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) serving as co-organiser.

IFGE held that the three-day event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, investors, researchers and other stakeholders from across the rapidly expanding bioenergy and renewable energy sectors.

CM Yogi Adityanath to Inaugurate Event

The expo will be inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in the presence of AK Sharma, Minister of Energy, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The event is expected to provide a platform for discussions on India’s transition towards cleaner fuels, sustainable energy systems and low-carbon technologies, while highlighting emerging opportunities across the bioenergy value chain.

Focus on Emerging Bioenergy Technologies

IBET Expo 2026 will cover a wide range of sectors, including Compressed Biogas (CBG), municipal solid waste-to-energy, ethanol, biomass, pellets, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), biohydrogen and green transport fuels for marine, aviation and automotive applications.

The conference will also focus on carbon credits in the bioenergy sector, reflecting the growing importance of carbon markets and emissions reduction in India’s clean-energy transition.

According to IFGE, the three-day programme will feature more than 25 technical sessions and over 150 speakers, alongside an exhibition featuring more than 100 exhibitors.

The event is expected to attract more than 500 delegates and 10,000 visitors, creating opportunities for industry networking, technology showcases, business partnerships and discussions on policy and investment, says IFGE.

With biofuels, waste-to-energy and other renewable fuel technologies gaining importance in India’s efforts to reduce fossil-fuel dependence and advance its clean-energy goals, IBET Expo 2026 is positioned as a major industry platform for examining the opportunities and challenges shaping the country’s bioenergy future.
