VC Investment Comes Calling For Solar Startup Skilancer Solar

The Noida-based Skilancer Solar  did not discolose the funding amount it received from Alfa Ventures, a venture of entrepreneur and investor Dhianu Das .

Skilancer was started in 2017 by IIT Jodhpur alumni Neeraj Kumar, and Manish Kumar Das, an instrumentation engineer . The company provides an artificial intelligence (AI) powered autonomous robot for cleaning of solar panels, scale up operations, and market presence. The startup is IIM Lucknow incubated and  mentored by Prof. M Akbar and Rounaq Mustafa.

Alfa Ventures said the funding will help Skilancer Solar, a start-up that provides artificial intelligence-powered autonomous robot for cleaning of solar panels, scale up operations and market presence

Neeraj Kumar at Skilancer  said the investment will allow the company to invest in design and technology upgrade, geographical expansion, team building, and develop competitive edge.

Started in early 2019, Alfa Ventures has a corpus of Rs 100 crore.

This funding follows another recent funding round for another Startup in the space, Zunroof Solar, besides of course the Petronas buyout of Amplus Solar, a market leader in the rooftop space.
