The new the solar-powered feature will be available on any unit using an iGen® control valve, including Puronics Bacteriostatic and Chlorostatic® water softener and filter systems, the company said.
The electricity generated through solar power will be stored in a rechargeable and replaceable battery pack, and the solar panel can be mounted up to 18 feet from the unit.
Commenting on the new launch, Scott Batiste, CEO of Puronics, said that “we are excited to offer our customers a new way to save energy and money.”
Batiste further added that “people are becoming more aware of how important it is to use high quality water, and they need environmentally-friendly options.”
The company’s product offerings include water softeners, no salt ‘green’ water filtration systems, drinking water systems and well water treatment systems. Most of the systems run on RO (Reverse Osmosis) tech.
Besides, its patented iGen® digital control valve maintains sixty days of water usage history to maximize water and salt efficiency. Also, it sends the alert to the owner when it is time for the filter to be replaced. The company sells its products through a nationwide network of corporate-owned and independent dealers.
In India, the firm might have a problem of availability as well as selling effectively, with the name, website and trademark on “Puronics sytems’ with a Bengaluru based firm.
However, the product pricing has also not been declared by the firm, a safe guess to say that it is premium priced as of now.
