Parag Parikh is new CEO of GPSR Arya

Bengluru based emerging bioenergy conglomerate GPS Renewables has named Parag Arvind Parikh, former Chief Financial Officer of Adani Total Gas, as the CEO of GPSR Arya, its asset management arm, and Group CFO of the parent company. The appointment highlights GPS Renewables’ ambition to accelerate its presence in India’s biofuels and renewable gas markets.

GPS Renewables is a leading full-stack renewable oil and gas company with projects worth nearly USD 1 billion in biogas, bioLNG, green methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel. Parikh will lead the expansion of GPSR Arya’s operations while shaping the financial strategy of the wider group.

With over 25 years of experience across infrastructure and energy sectors, Parikh has held leadership roles in Adani Total Gas, where he managed international financing, corporate governance, and the company’s EV charging business. He has also worked with GMR Group and Gammon, specializing in capital raising, IPOs, investor relations, and restructuring. Industry observers note that his diverse experience in finance and clean energy positions him to steer GPS Renewables’ growth amid India’s accelerating energy transition.

Parikh said it was an “exciting time” to join GPS Renewables as it scales up operations to support India’s shift toward sustainable fuels. GPS Renewables Co-founder and CEO Mainak Chakraborty added that Parikh’s financial leadership and strategic clarity would be “instrumental” in advancing the company’s growth story.

Founded in 2012, GPS Renewables employs over 800 people and has delivered major renewable gas projects, including Asia’s largest municipal solid waste-based CBG plant in Indore and the world’s fastest executed plant in Barabanki. The company is also building the world’s largest compressed biogas complex in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

GPS Renewables currently manages over 30 operational or near-complete projects and has visibility on 200+ CBG projects, developed in partnership with Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Oil India under India’s SATAT initiative to promote cleaner, affordable transportation fuels.
