Mumbai headquartered Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) has secured a Rs 50 crore contract for setting up a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) project in Rajasthan, marking a significant addition to its order book and strengthening its presence in India’s bioenergy sector.
The project, to be executed in Rajasthan, represents a key milestone in the ORSL aim of expansion in the bio-gas and waste-to-energy space. With this order, Organic Recycling Systems continues to scale up its operations in large-scale CBG projects, which are emerging as an important pillar of India’s clean energy transition.
“This project reinforces ORSL’s commitment to delivering scalable, technically robust, and commercially viable bio-CNG solutions while supporting clean energy transition and rural development. We sincerely thank our valued client for their trust and confidence in ORSL,” said the company.
CBG projects play a vital role in converting organic waste into clean, renewable fuel, while simultaneously addressing waste management challenges. The new project aligns with the government’s push to promote alternative energy sources, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support a circular economy through waste-to-energy solutions.
The Rs 50 crore contract underlines the company’s growing capability to win and execute sizable renewable energy projects. It also reinforces the positioning of ORSL in the sustainable energy market, particularly in the bio-gas segment, which is witnessing rising interest from both public and private stakeholders.
ORSL On Forefront
ORSL operates in the renewable energy domain with a strong focus on bio-gas development and integrated waste management solutions. Recently, the company along with IIT Bombay (IITB) and IIT Kharagpur (IITKgp) were awarded research grant under the DBT BIRAC Joint Call on Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU).
It also partnered with Netel India to explore joint participation in upcoming solid waste management and waste-to-energy projects.
