Modi Naturals Limited fully owned subsidiary Modi Biotech (MBPL) has initiated construction and placed orders for a new ethanol expansion project that will add 180 KLD to its current production capacity of 130 KLD. This expansion, with a capital investment of Rs. 100 crores, is expected to be completed within 8-10 months.

Once completed, the total production capacity of Modi Naturals will reach 310 KLD, empowering it to meet the rising demand for biofuels and strengthen its position as an industry leader.

Akshay Modi, Managing Director of Modi Naturals Ltd., stated that his firm is furthering growth & innovation in biofuels. He added, “This significant order is a resounding validation of our capabilities and unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality ethanol. We are proud to be contributing to India’s ambitious vision of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and promoting sustainable energy solutions. We are confident that our expanded production capacity will enable us to meet the growing demand for biofuels, while also supporting the government’s initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and promote energy security.”

A month ago, received a Rs 300-crore order for the supply of 41,600 kilo litres (KL) of ethanol from oil manufacturing companies. With the government’s focus on cleaner energy alternatives and the nationwide rollout of the ethanol-blended petrol program, Modi Biotech believes that it is strategically positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for biofuels.
