Modi Naturals to add 180 KLD ethanol capacity with investment of Rs 100 crore

Modi Naturals Limited fully owned subsidiary Modi Biotech (MBPL) has initiated construction and placed orders for a new ethanol expansion project that will add 180 KLD to its current production capacity of 130 KLD. This expansion, with a capital investment of Rs. 100 crores, is expected to be completed within 8-10 months.

Once completed, the total production capacity of Modi Naturals will reach 310 KLD, empowering it to meet the rising demand for biofuels and strengthen its position as an industry leader.

Modi Naturals expects a remarkable growth surge with a substantial expansion of its production capacity. The investment in ethanol capacity highlights the unwavering commitment of Modi Biotech to growth and innovation in the biofuel sector.

The existing 130 KLD grain-based ethanol distillery and 5 MW captive power generation plant of Modi Naturals have already established a robust footprint in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

A month ago, received a Rs 300-crore order for the supply of 41,600 kilo litres (KL) of ethanol from oil manufacturing companies. With the government’s focus on cleaner energy alternatives and the nationwide rollout of the ethanol-blended petrol program, Modi Biotech believes that it is strategically positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for biofuels.
