EISELE launches GigaMotion ATEX long axis agitator series for wall mounting in biogas plants

German is a leading manufacturer of pumps and agitators for the biogas sectors EISELE is now launching the GigaMotion 15, 18.5 and 22 long axis agitators – a new series specially designed for large biogas tanks with high dry matter (DM) content and constant fill levels. EISELE says that the ATEX-compliant agitators are solidly built and designed for stability.

The new product range have a low-wear hydropneumatic suspension system, with a nitrogen accumulator above the hydraulic cylinder acting as a damping element. GigaMotion long axis agitators can be installed at working depths of up to 5 m below the filling level, and are approved for Ex zone 2 in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.

Years of experience in agitator applications

EISELE claims to have many years of experience in the agitator sector and have gone into developing a new series of units. The GigaMotion series has been engineered for heavy-duty use. With three power classes of 15 kW, 18.5 kW and 22 kW, agitators can be optimally matched to the application conditions.

The propellers on the long axis agitators have diameters of 147 cm, 153 cm and 158 cm, and a shaft length of optionally 4 m, 5 m or 6 m.

EISELE said that GigaMotion is suitable for wall mounting in gas-tight biogas tanks. All parts in contact with the substrate are made of stainless steel (V2A). The hydraulic cylinder in the frame allows angle adjustment across a range of +5° to -30°. The main technical advantages lie in the damping system, the lubrication system consisting of a drive head with oil supply line and oil check reservoir, and a powerful stirrer that can easily stir substrates in the fermenter and secondary fermenter with a DM content of up to 15%. Depending on the wall plate design, the stirring direction can be either anticlockwise or clockwise in the tank.

Durable and efficient agitator and pump technology from a single source

With the new series, EISELE says that it is positioned to fully equip biogas plants with agitator and pump technology. It can offer plant constructors and operators as well as service companies all products from a single source. The robust build of the GigaMotion units and their use of high-quality electric motors and control components guarantee a long service life.

EISELE is a family-run business Franz Eisele u. Söhne GmbH & Co. KG in Sigmaringen, Germany. The company says that it has offered innovative machinery and services in the agriculture and biogas sectors for over 130 years.
