BCL Industries secures fresh ethanol supply order in Rajasthan

BCL Industries has secured a significant order from a Rajasthan government-owned enterprise. In a regulatory filing, the company announced it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Rajasthan State Ganganagar Sugar Mills Limited (RSGSM) to supply 59 lakh litres of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) over a period of six months from its Bathinda distillery in Punjab.

The agreement also includes a clause allowing RSGSM to increase the order volume by up to 50%, at its discretion. BCL Industries is a prominent player in the distillery sector and part of the BSE Smallcap index.

Extra Neutral Alcohol is a high-purity form of ethanol used in the manufacture of alcoholic beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. RSGSM is the oldest public sector undertaking (PSU) under the Rajasthan government which is a key client for such supplies.

This is not the first collaboration between the two entities. In November 2023, BCL Industries received a similar order to supply 60 lakh litres of ethanol to RSGSM. By June 30, 2025, the company had successfully delivered 69 lakh litres against that order.

With a market capitalization of Rs 1,349 crore, BCL Industries is among the country’s largest grain-based producers of ENA.

BCL Industries had revealed last year about its plans to acquire Goyal Distillery Private Ltd., located in Fatehabad, Haryana, to further company’s ethanol production dreams. The acquired distillery already has the necessary land and permissions for setting up a 250 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant. Thereafter, BCL Industries also received environmental clearance to set up a 150 KLPD ethanol production plant at its Bathinda distillery.
