Sustain Labs Paris launches ‘sprint program’ to accelerate growth of climate tech start-ups

World’s largest climate & sustainability-focused venture builder Sustain Labs Paris has launched a unique initiative for climate tech startups – SLP Climate Tech Startup Sprint – which offers climate tech startups expert support for a large number of sustainability-focused technical reports, such as the European Sustainability Reporting Standards SME format, alongside 2 hours of strategic consulting.

Sustain Labs Paris said that the startup sprint is highly selective and offered free of cost, with the potential to tailor and expand to meet the greater needs of the individual startups.

Startups face increasing regulatory requirements for GHG emissions and ESG reporting. Investor expectations for standardized ESG metrics are also rising, making it more difficult for startups to secure funding. Additionally, limited resources hinder their ability to overcome these obstacles, impacting their growth and long-term potential. Designed to accelerate innovative climate-focused solutions, the SLP Climate Tech Startup Sprint directly addresses these challenges by providing startups with tailored support.

Dr. Miniya Chatterji, CEO of Sustain Labs Paris, said, “While Sustain Labs Paris works with large organizations and governments, we have been approached by startups too a lot. As a consequence, we have supported startups free of cost, who we believed had disruptive climate tech solutions that with our support could scale up. Through the SLP Climate Tech Startup Sprint we have set up a formal yet flexible process to identify startups we wish to support and ways to support them.”

About Sustain Labs Paris

Sustain Labs Paris builds large-scale ventures globally that substantially move the needle on sustainable growth and climate action. The organisation has run a global climate action fellowship since 2019 – Anant Fellowship for Climate Action – that helps individuals scale their skills to implement solutions to mitigate climate change. Besides this, it established and runs India’s first, 4-year, full-time, undergraduate engineering degree program – Bachelor of Technology in Climate Change especially focused on innovating in climate technologies.

Recently, Sustain Labs Paris and Microsoft partnered to build Sustainability DIY, an online institution for ‘DIY’ sustainability. Among other ventures, Sustain Labs Paris also established the Carbon Capture Company in 2023, the UAE’s first carbon capture and storage project development service platform.

Sustain Labs Paris also works with the world’s largest companies to transform their products and services into being sustainable, besides undertaking deep technical research. The SLP Startup Sprint institutionalizes expertise and support, extending expert resources to selected startups that would otherwise need to pay substantially to others for these services that Sustain Labs Paris would provide free of cost.
